학교정보
EIT 대학 (Eastern Institute of Technology)은 1974년에 설립된 국립기술대학으로, 뉴질랜드 북섬 동쪽의 주요 교육기관으로써 뉴질랜드 교육부에서 지정한 가장 모범적인 대학 교육기관 중 하나입니다. 메인 캠퍼스는 뉴질랜드에서 가장 좋은 기후를 자랑하는 네피어에 위치하고 있으며, 오클랜드 및 기즈번 캠퍼스를 운영하고 있습니다.
50여 개국 이상에서 온 약 1,200명의 유학생을 포함해 총 11,000여 명 이상의 학생이 재학하고 있으며, 파운데이션 과정부터 포도주 & 포도재배, 농/원예과, 비즈니스, 호텔경영, 수의과 등의 수료증, 디플로마, 학사, 준석사, 석사 과정까지 130여 개의 프로그램을 제공하고 있습니다. 또한 유학생들을 위한 NZCEL, IELTS 준비 과정 등의 영어 프로그램도 제공하고 있으며, IELTS 공식 시험 센터이기도 합니다.
학업 이론에 기반을 둔 실용적인 프로그램을 제공하고 있으며, 실습과 이론의 균형은 학생들이 올바른 자격과 기술 그리고 업계 경험을 갖을 수 있게 해주며 더불어 취직을 위한 지식 및 기술을 습득할 수 있게 됩니다.
또한 학생들의 성공적인 학업 성취를 위하여 오랜 경력의 우수한 교수진들이 학생 개개인에게 집중할 수 있도록 소규모의 학급으로 운영하고 있습니다. EIT 대학의 교직원들은 학생들에게 1:1로 도움을 드리고 있으며, 네피어 캠퍼스에서는 유학생을 지원하고 학업에 도움을 주는 학업 멘토 시스템을 운영하고 있습니다. 학업 멘토는 학기 초에 결정이 되며, 1년 내내 도움을 받을 수 있습니다. 오클랜드 캠퍼스에서는 캠퍼스 매니저가 학생들에게 도움을 드리고 있습니다.
